OUR MISSION -----
The Hearing Loss Association (HLA) provides assistance and resources for people with hearing loss and their families to learn how to adjust to living with hearing loss. HLA works to eradicate the stigma associated with hearing loss.
The Mission of HLAA is to open the world of communication to people with hearing loss by providing information, education, support and advocacy.
Education: Our primary purpose is to educate ourselves, our families, friends, coworkers, teachers, hearing health care providers, industry, government, and others about hearing loss
Self Help: HLA believes people with hearing loss can help themselves and one another to participate fully and successfully in society. HLA promotes self-confidence; empowers individuals with skills to improve their lives; and provides an opportunity for affiliation among people with hearing loss, their friends, families, and professionals.
We provide support groups where people can share and learn together, and socialize with others who understand!
Hearing Loss Association is composed of and for people like YOU, who have a special interest in living with hearing loss, either because of your personal or professional experience.
Hearing Loss Association of the Capital Region is a local chapter of the national organization, Hearing Loss Association of America.
